Bio:

A lifelong Midwesterner, Elizabeth Austin began her journalism career at Chicago’s renowned City News Bureau, and has written for Time, Newsweek, People, The Washington Monthly, the Chicago Tribune, and many other publications. She moved from journalism to politics in 2004, when Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich asked her to become his speechwriter. She is now a Chicago political consultant and an Episcopalian.
