Patrick Hornbeck is Assistant Professor of Theology at Fordham University in New York City.  He earned his doctoral degree in theology from the University of Oxford in summer 2007.  He has also received a bachelor's degree in theology and medieval studies from Georgetown University, where he was valedictorian of the College. His work focuses on dissent and disagreement within Christian communities, and he is currently writing a book on heresy in late medieval England.
