Denis McDonough is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress. A graduate of St. John's University (MN) and Georgetown University, he has worked in Washington, DC for more than a decade where he has held a series of senior policy making positions in the U.S. Congress, including as Professional Stafff Member on the House International Relations Committee, Foreign Policy Adviser to Democratic Leader Tom Daschle, and Legislative Director for Ken Salazar. At the Center for American Progress, Denis works on national security, energy and religion and continues to work closely with Distinguished Senior Fellow Tom Daschle. He lives in Takoma Park, MD with his wife, Kari, and two children. |
